Worst paddling

You cannot forget about Bob Coughlin and Cecil Maddox. Buster Taylor could swing a mean paddle too.

I managed to avoid the paddle in HS but got many a whack at the old Wise Elementary . Mr. Stallard the Principal and Mr. Barker and Mr. Gilliam (5th grade teachers)all seemed proficient at corporal punishment as I recall. This was in 1970 so most of you won't recognize those names but back then it was an art and pride was taken both by the giver and reciever .

I am just gad that they don't use the paddle anymore...
I'm sure if they did i would have already been paddled A LOT
i think everyone's attitude would be different today if they still used the paddle..

I always heard that Dave Bentley was the LAST person you wanted to be paddled by at JJK.

Bob Castle burned me and another guy up in the fourth grade for not paying attention. After he paddled us he came back in and put the paddle across from my desk to his and left it there for the day and said if it fell off he'd paddle us again. I only remember getting paddled by my kindergarten teacher Mrs. Rhoton. But as some of the GC folks may know of, I did get a scare or to from "Mr. Blister" Coach John Vicars (may he rest in peace) paddle when he threatened it on me a time or two.
